Battersea Power station is finally complete after a redevelopment which seems to have taken a decade. I used to commute into Victoria and, as the train crossed the Thames, I witnessed the iconic building slowly coming back to life.
They have done an amazing job redeveloping the area with luxury flats, shopping arcades, restaurants and bars. An adult playground in a retro-industrial setting.
I love the cavernous turbine halls. Huge gantries and leftover machinery in a revitalised Art Deco building.
We strolled over Chelsea Bridge and, after a light dinner, took our seats at the Victoria Palace Theatre to see Hamilton, the musical.
So yeah...
